Ingredients
Curd/Yogurt-1 cup
Grated Coconut -2 tbsp
Toor dal-1 tbsp
Raw rice-1 tbsp
Jerra-1 tsp
Green chilli-2
Onion-1 small sliced
Tomato-1 small
Ginger- 1 inch piece
Mustard seed-1/2 tp
Red chilli-1
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil-1 tp
Water as needed
Method
1.Soak toor dal,rice for 15-20 min. 2.Mix curd,turmeric powder and grounded paste along with water in a bowl
3.Now in a pan add oil and throw some mustard seed,methi seed(optional),dry red chilli,onion,tomato and curry leaves. Saute for 2-3 min.
4.Pour the mixed curd and salt.Allow it to boil for 5-7 min. Garnish with coriander leaves.
Note:
1.Toor dal and rice is used for thick consistantcy.You can also replace with roasted gram/pottu kadalai
2.North indians use besan for consistancy
Good combination with Bhindi masala,Potato fry
