French Toast

Yields:10-11 bread toast

Ingredients

White Bread
10
Eggs
3
Whole milk/Milk
1 Cup(250 ml)
Vanilla essence
1 Tsp
Cinnamon powder
1 Tsp
Nutmeg
Pinch
Sugar
3 Tsp
Butter/Ghee
2-3 Tbsp
Maple syrup
For dressing

Extra touch


Jam
For spreading
Powdered sugar
For dusting

Method

1.In a bowl add eggs,vanilla essence,milk,sugar,cinnamon powder,dash of nutmeg. Whisk all.

2.Transfer to a wide open bowl or something like tupperware box.Meanwhile heat butter in medium flame on iron tawa or non stick tawa.
3.Dip the bread in the batter and remove immediately and place on the tawa. Toast it both sides until it cooks well. Do not burnt.Maintain medium flame.
 


4.You can serve hot with maple syrup dressing. For the kids we can make more interesting by giving extra touch.

Simple.
  • Take two toasted bread.
  • If u have any shape cutter cut one toasted bread.
  • Spread the jam on uncut toasted bread.On the top place the cut toasted bread. Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top of it.

Note

1.You can substitute butter with cooking oil or ghee. Only for the first toast i used butter for photo shoot :p. Later i drizzled with oil for heath conscious.
2.If u don't get maple syrup don't worry. You can substitute with honey or sugar caramelize.
3.Imp thing is the take the bread immediate after making a dip. Or else it will soak and broken.
4.Adjust your sugar tasting.
