Ingredients
White pumpkin/ poosani

1 Cup grated(water squeezed)

Sugar

6 - 8 Tsp

Cardamom powder

½ Tsp

Whole cashew

3 Tbsp

Yellow food color

Method
1.Grate the pumpkin and squeeze the water completely.
2.In a bottomed pan add 2 Tbsp ghee and add grated pumpkin. Saute well for 5-8 mins or until pumpkin cooks well.
3.Add sugar and mix well until sugar gets melts along with it. Add the remaining ghee and saute well.
4.Add yellow food color,cardamom,cashews and raisins. Stir well until you get the halwa consistency.Finally add little bit ghee and switch off the flame.
Traditional kasi halwa is ready in few mins with very few ingredients. Try it and taste it.
Note
1.Since we are doing this in ghee cashews and raisins are not needed to be roast separately.
2. Adjust sugar as per your taste buds. I wanted little bit less sweet so i added 6 Tsp.
3.Do not add water to cook. Pumpkin by itself it has more water.
This is instant fat-a-fat kasi halwa made in few mins. Cardamom also can be added whole. Just tear into pieces.
