Kesar malai Kulfi | Homemade

Ingredients

1 cup whole milk
2 Tbsp heavy cream
2 Tbsp  khoya/mawa
4 Tbsp sugar
2 pinch of cardamom powder
Few strands of  Saffron
Handful of sliced almonds and pistachios

Method

1.Boil the milk until it reduce to half. Stir continuously in between.
2.Take 2 tbsp of hot milk from it and add the saffron strand. Let it soak until used.
3.Once after milk reduced to half.add heavy cream and khoya and stir.
4.Now add the sugar,soaked saffron milk and cardamom powder. Cook until sugar dissolves. Initially it will be watery after 2-3 mins it will come to consistency.
5.Switch off the flame and add chopped almonds and pistachios.
6.Let it cool for 5-10 mins and pour in kulfi mould. Close tightly and refrigerate for 4 hours minimum.
7.Show in running water for 30 seconds and take out from the mould. Garnish with sliced almonds and pistachios and serve immediately.



Homemade kesar malai kulfi is ready to serve.
