Chicken Kuruma

Ingredients


Chicken- 1/2 kg(Cleaned and washed)
Onion- 1 big chopped
Tomato-2 chopped
Potato- 2 (cubed)
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Chilli powder- 3 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Coconut milk-1 cup
Poppy seeds-1/2 tsp

Tempering
Oil-2 tbsp
Onions- 1/2 chopped
Curry leaves- few
Funnel seed-1/2 tsp
Cinnamon stick-1
Bay leaf-2

Garnishing
Coriander leaves

Mehod

1.In a pressure cooker add chicken,onion,tomato,ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder and chilli powder.Add required water and pressure cook for 6 whistle.
2.Open the pressure cooker lid.Add the coconut milk and potato.Allow it to cook till potato cooks..
3.In a pan heat oil and temper all the above ingredients as mentioned in tempering. Add this tempering into the boiling kuruma and garnish with coriander leaves.

Note

While grinding coconut add kasa kasa/poppy seeds little bit and take the 1st and 2nd milk.
