Basic Rasam

Ingredients

Tamarind- small lemon size(soaked in hot water)
Jeera-1/2 tsp
Tomato-1 no
Pepper-1/2 tsp
Garlic-4 cloves
Red chilli-2 no
Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves

Method

1.Grind pepper,jeera and garlic together coarsely.
2.Mix the tomato with tamarind water. Add salt and hing.
3.In a kadai heat oil temper some mustard seeds,2 red chilli, grounded masala and curry leaves. Pour the prepared tamarind water and allow it to boil. Last add coriander leaves.

Note

1.I u want dry roast pepper and jeera equal quantity and coarse grind. Stock it as rasam powder.
2.Just smash the garlic while temperinga and add rasam powder.
